Julia Manning - Ravens to Wrens
A Brewery Arts Centre Exhibition at Cafe in the Forest, Grizedale.
21 Oct 2010 - 23 April 2011
Julia's work is all about the natural world, it has been described as 'Nature with Attitude' (which she rather likes).
Inspiration comes from her garden and the birds in it, her early morning walks with her dog Pearl, in the 5 mile radius of her home in Keinton Mandeville, Somerset and her trips to India and wild places.
Julia has a BA Hons in fine art from Bath Academy of Art, Corsham and for the past 10 years she has worked solely as an Artist/Printmaker, indulging her passion for etching and relief, lino and wood cuts, creating handmade limited edition prints on Somerset Printmaking Paper.
She exhibits regularly, in London with the society of Wildlife Artists and Originals, where last year she was given 2 awards, The Fenton Arts Trust and the RE award.
At last year's Annual Exhibition of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers she was awarded The John Purcel Paper Prize and The Paintings In Hospitals Purchase Prize.
